YAKIMA, Wash -- With snow flurries falling and low temperatures for most of the day, hundreds of people and dozens of businesses came out Saturday to help the needy.
Over $3,000.00 and 19 bins worth food were collected at the KNDO family food drive. Everything donated will go to Northwest Harvest.
"We have the best givers. The most community minded people in the whole State of Washington right here in the Yakima Valley," said Rosemary Reif, of Northwest Harvest. "I am so impressed but not surprised."
