Yakima Man Recovering After Breaking Leg and Arm in Hit and Run

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash - A Yakima man is recovering after he was the victim of a hit and run.  Twenty-six-year-old Frank McWain of Yakima suffered several breaks in his arm and leg.  This after his mother says a car going 60 MPH last Friday night didn't stop as her son was walking through the intersection of 10th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard.  She says Frank was thrown over the car and then fell to the street.  Witnesses were able to get Frank to the side of the road and call 911.

His mother's message tonight to Yakima is clear.

"Slow down watch out.  I mean I can't believe someone would run someone over and not stop.  I just can't understand that.  It could have been kids, it could have been anybody," explains Sharon Beaty.

The alleged hit and run happened last Friday night between 7-7:30.  According to Frank's mother it was a blue car with tinted windows that hit him.  If you have any tips please call the Yakima police.
