At the Office Depot in kennewick you can come and buy a box, fill it up with you "tech trash" and have it sent to a electronics land fill in California.

The price of the boxes range from 5 dollars to 15 depending on the size then you can fill it up with old laptops, cords, keyboards, any old electronic you have laying around then bring the box back to the store and they ship it off to be recycled with no extra charge to you.

Kyle Monoian, Office Depot Store Manager says, as a company the are trying to implement an environmental strategy to be green, buy green and sell green.

The recycled items are turned in to raw materials like glass, copper, plastic and aluminum.

Office Depot says that an estimated 2-million tons of "E-waste" is thrown out every year by Americans.

With the holidays approaching it's out with the old and in with the new and now there is an environmentally friendly way to get rid of your old electronics.

You can recycle your e-waste at Office Depot, Staples or at the RECA Foundation.
