KENNEWICK, Wash. - DB Jamie Hattley has been assigned to the Tri-Cities Fever by the AF2 league office. Hattley, a highly sought after player, returns to the Fever after a successful 2007 season.
Hattley was pursued by numerous AF2 teams and the Fever are proud to have him back for the 2008 season. Hattley shined bright last season, leading the team in tackles with 91.5, which ranked him10th overall in the af2. He also recorded 5 interceptions, returning one for a touchdown against the Everett Hawks. Hattley made his presence felt by breaking up 24 passes, forcing a fumble and recovering 2 fumbles. Hattley capped off an excellent 07 season and was selected to the American Conference All-af2 Second Team.
Hattley spent his collegiate career at Charleston Southern University.
Other players the Fever have been assigned from last year's team include Emery Beckles and J.R. Thomas. Players still have until March 15 to make an AFL roster. The season starts March 28.
