PASCO, Wash.-- A local church is making it easier to give to a good cause this Christmas season.
The Alternative Gift Fair is giving people an opportunity to give a more meaningful gift this Christmas.
The fair will give shoppers the chance to donate to a charity of their choice, on behalf of a family member or a friend. Organizers say this is a great way to reduce the stress of holiday shopping.
Diane Reed, one of the coordinators of the fair, said, "this is a wonderful opportunity for people to find an absolutely perfect gift for a person who's hard to give to."
Nineteen different charities are scheduled to participate. There will also be live entertainment. If you'd like to stop by and make a donation the fair is taking place Saturday, December 14th, from noon to 4 p.m.
It's all happening at the Community Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasco, located at 2819 West Sylvester. Our very own Christine Brown will be cutting the ribbon to kick off the event.
