Yakima, WA - The Yakama Nation and the state have come to a new agreement on cigarette taxes.
This comes ten months after the state decided to end its last agreement because the tribe was allowing cigarettes to be sold to non-tribal members without sales tax.
The nation has agreed to begin implementing a tax on all cigarettes equal to 80-percent of the state tax.
The money from that tax revenue goes to the tribe.
The agreement still has to be signed off on by the state legislature.
