YAKIMA, Wash - Seatbelts save the lives of two teenagers after their car crashes into an empty school bus.
The accident happened Friday night, at the intersection of Zier and Dazet Roads in Yakima.
According to deputies with the Yakima Sheriff's Office, Jesse Morse of Selah drove through a stop sign, and hit a West Valley school bus.
Fire fighters had to cut the car open to remove a 14 year old male passenger.
Both Morse and the teenage boy were taken to the hospital and treated with minor injuries. Fire fighters say seat belts, more than anything else, saved their lives.
