West Richland Family Puts Together Christmas Lights and Food Drive

Posted: Updated:

WEST RICHLAND, Wash.-- A Christmas light display in West Richland is helping people give to others this holiday season. For the second year in a row a local family is donating canned food to the Prosser food bank.

Last year they collected and donated close to 4,000 cans. They want everyone to come see the lights and remember those in need.

"We thought that if half of the people who came here and saw our lights donated something then we could actually make a difference," said Nakiya Belford, one of the family members.

The family will be collecting cans til New Year's Eve, so you still have some time to make it out there.

They're at 4503 Desert Cove, off Bombing Range Road in West Richland. Everyone who donates walks away with a candy cane.
