YAKIMA, Wash. - Millions of people are affected by breast cancer every year.
Safeway supermarkets have been working hard over the last month raising money for treatment and prevention programs.
Wednesday they announced that almost 82,000 dollars will be puts towards programs in Yakima, Walla Walla and Kennewick.
Part of the money will pay for a van that will travel around and provide mammogram to women who would not normal receive a mammogram.
The van will travel all over Eastern Washington.
Officials report that funds raised will be given to The Memorial Foundation, Tri-City Cancer Center and Saint Mary's Regional Cancer Facility.
