VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Three men have been shot to death in a gunfight at a house in Vancouver (Washington), and police say a fourth was wounded and hospitalized for surgery.
A handgun that may have been used in the shooting early today was recovered, but no arrests have been reported and the motive remains unclear. However, Police Sergeant Kimberly Anne Kapp says it's unlikely that gangs were involved or that whoever is at large poses a danger to the general public. She says says investigators are trying to find someone who might be able to say what happened.
Gunfire was reported around 12:30 a.m. in the Burton neighborhood, and officers arrived to find four men had been shot. One was already dead, two died after being hospitalized and a fourth underwent surgery. Police say they don't have further details on the fourth man's condition. Kapp won't say whether the men were found inside or outside the house.
