YAKIMA, Wash -- Hundreds of homes and businesses in lost water Friday night after a pipe cracked at the intersection of Tieton Drive and 72nd Avenue.
The crack was fixed during the night and the water is flowing once again.
The leak popped about 8pm Friday, and in some places it was almost two feet deep, completely shutting down everything near the Orchards Shopping Center in West Valley.
Crews from the Nob Hill Water Association had the leak fixed early Saturday morning but there is still lots of mud and ice around the area.
About a five hundred thousand gallons of water leaked out. Engineers are still trying to figure out what caused the crack.
