16-Year-Old Grandview Boy Shot and Killed

Posted: Updated:

GRANDVIEW, Wash - A fatal shooting early Tuesday morning takes the life of a 16-year-old Grandview boy.

Police swarmed the Princeville condo's on Cherry Lane in Grandview just after three o'clock Tuesday morning.  They responded to 911 calls reporting gunfire.  A 16-year-old hispanic boy was found in one of the condo's shot.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Officers at the Grandview Police Department wish the new year was brought in a different way.

"The loss of life is always a tragedy, especially at the start of a new year when you have a 16-year-old [killed].  That is something that does have an impact on us [police officers] and we are glad we don't have to respond to more of those," says Sgt. Kal Fuller of Grandview Police Department.

Two more people were injured in this attack.  A 20-year-old Yakima man was taken to Sunnyside Community Hospital. He has been released into police custody. Another man is in stable condition with knife and gun shot wounds.

No suspects are in custody yet.  Call the Grandview Police Department if you have any information.
