Hundreds Still Without Power in Walla Walla County
WALLA WALLA, Wash. - About 300 people are without power in Walla Walla as of 6 A.M. Monday Morning, a significant drop from 30,000 on Friday when the storm first hit.
Pacific Power officials working in the area say crews have been working all night long to restore electricity. It's taken more than 300 crew members and management personnel to turn the light's back on.
Meanwhile fallen trees are still being cleaned-up and damaged buildings are in great need of repair.
Police say if you need help disposing of all the debris in your yard, chippers will be available in city parks today. Call Walla Walla parks and recreation at 527-4527 to find out the chippers different locations.
We're told the power in Umatilla County is restored, but reports of property damages continue to come in.
