Tip in Murder Case No Longer Credible

Posted: Updated:

GRANDVIEW, Wash.--16-year-old Isaac Hinojosa was a known gang member, according to police.

At around 5:10 p.m. Monday afternoon, KNDO reporter Joe Angelo spoke with Grandview police Detective, James Driscoll. Earlier Monday afternoon, Driscoll said his team had a credible tip that could lead to an arrest. That is no longer the case.

He said the statement taken from a woman had "credibility issues".

Meanwhile, police kept a visible presence outside of every school in the district.

"We will try to really hit it hard, lunch time, dismissal time," says Detective Driscoll. That's when you see more gang members out then. I think it's the attention, having all the kids out."

Monday night, police are asking for your help. If you have any information that you feel might be useful, please contact the Grandview police department.
