RICHLAND, Wash.- Richland kicks off it's 50th Anniversary, and the city has a new Mayor.
John Fox says he envisions the next 50 years looking just like the last, but also sees the city encountering some of the same problems.
Fox says his first day in office wasn't really any different than his time on City Council, other than a few congratulations calls.
The new Mayor says he hopes the Council will spend the next two years helping shape a successful future for the city.
"We're gonna look back and honor what has brought us to this point, but we're also gonna look ahead to the next 50 years and the council I think will come together," Fox said.
The city is set to hold some 50th Anniversary celebrations over the next few months.
