KENNEWICK, Wash.- A Kennewick police officer is jailed on suspicion of domestic battery.
Coeur d'Alene police say Kennewick Police Officer Frank McLain was arrested on New Years Day and booked into the Kootenai County Jail before being released on bond a day later.
The Kennewick Police Department confirms the arrest and says McLain has been placed on paid administrative leave as the department conducts their own internal investigation.
This is the second time in a year McLain has been placed on leave.
He was taken off duty in March after killing a suspect who was stabbing a woman.
He was cleared of any wrongdoing in that incident.
McLain has been with the Kennewick Police Department for two years.
