Sanchez Verdict in the Double Homicide Trial of the Ricky Causer and his Daughter Expected
Yakima, Wash, - Last month a jury found Sanchez guilty of murdering Ricky Causor and his three-year-old daughter Mya.
Thursday he' will be back in court to receive his sentence.
Jose Sanchez junior was convicted of first-degree murder and could be facing a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
The sentencing is scheduled for nine o'clock Thursday at the Yakima county jail.
The trial lasted five weeks, but it only took jurors a day and a half to return a guilty verdict.
After it was all over we spoke with one of the jurors and she says the decision took a toll on the jury's emotions, but that it was good to see the Causor family get some relief.
While there was no direct physical evidence linking Sanchez to the murders, eyewitness accounts like that given by Sanchez's accomplice Mario Mendez, and other circumstantial evidence convinced the jury that he was guilty.
