TRI-CITIES, Wash.-- Despite all the hits the real estate market took last year, Tri-city realtors say 2007 was one of their best years.
With total sales of over 3,500 properties and bringing in almost $697 million in revenue the housing market is looking up. Real estate agents say the Tri-Cities has a lot to offer for home buyers and some of deals don't compare to anywhere else.
"I mean I don't know where you can get a brand new house for $140,000, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 car garage, and over 1,300 square feet in a good part of town," said Bill Prussing, realtor with the Tri-Cities Association of Realtors.
The total sales for the housing market in 2007 came in second compared to 2005. Realtors say the prices have kept going up in the past decade, reaching up to million dollar homes around the area. But overall houses are more affordable and you can still find all sorts of prices to chose from.
