Earth Month Organizers are going Green with a New Website

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Earth month doesn't come until April here in the Columbia Basin, but organizers say they're revamping the program this year.

Volunteers will now have to sign up for Earth Month activities online on the new website.

It's replacing the old Earth Month website with a lot of new features.  Organizers say it will save both time and money.

"We're totally revamping the whole way we're doing things.  We're trying to move to an online format with less paperwork and have more information available," says Tracey Roberts with the Tri-Cities Visitor's Center.

The website also tells you about recycling locations and how to conserve water and energy.  The website is earthmonthmc.com and is still being tested and will replace the old one by next week.
