PASCO, Wash. - The Columbia Basin College "Follow Your Dreams" fundraiser was Tuesday night, and a couple of young baseball players who are following their dreams were on hand.
While patrons bid on memorabilia and helped CBC raise money, the M's caravan stopped by. Mariners pitchers Mark Lowe and Eric O'Flaherty, a Walla Walla native, were on hand.  They have been touring the east side of the state.
"It's been nice," said O'Flaherty.  "I like seeing a little bit of the winter weather, unlike in Arizona where it's been 65-70 degrees everyday. It will be nice tomorrow at Whitman College in Walla Walla. I live a block away from there, my parents do,  so I get to go home and see them."
The M's caravan will be bolstered by the addition of former player Norm Charlton and Mariner Moose at Whitman College's Sherwood Center Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  There will be free autographs and interaction.
At the CBC event Tuesday night, The M's weren't the only big league team represented. Detroit Tigers star Jeremy Bonderman was on hand. He is a Pasco native. He donated some memorabilia to the auction.  The event raised $24,000 for the CBC Athletics program, a eight thousand-dollar improvement over last year.  The money will go towards scholarships and facilities.
Also auctioned off were framed photos of Ichiro, the Oregon State NCAA baseball team, and a Yao Ming autographed jersey.
