KENNEWICK, Wash. - A big check is giving a big boost to one Tri-Cities non-profit organization.
Friday, Numerica Credit Union donated $5,000 to Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery in Kennewick. The money is part of four donations made to several Northwest organizations. Numerica employees raised the money in an annual company benefit auction. The nursery director said she's excited to get a financial jump on the year.
"We rely on the kind of donation that the corporation is making to us to continue to provide for our program," said Sue Delucchi, Safe Harbor Crisis Nursery.
The nursery helps families find resources, references, or child care during a crisis or emergency.
Delucchi said the nursery will use the money to help pay for personnel costs.
