Electronic Town Hall Meeting to Discuss Health Care
You don't have to go all the way to Olympia to be a part of this political process, you can now join the discussion from home. The State Senate has scheduled a two day electronic town hall meeting.
You can register online and ask any questions or add comments you may have about our current health care system. Some of the key issues will include how health care can become more available and affordable in Washington.
A panel of legislators and health care professionals will address some of these concerns. One of the panelists says how important it is to get the public's input.
"You know not everybody gets to go to Olympia to a hearing so having an online dialogue, like we're doing with this web dialogue gives everybody a chance to weigh in," said Senate Health & Long Term Care Chair Karen Keiser, D-Kent.
This online meeting will be happening this Tuesday January 22nd and Wednesday January 23rd. You can register on the website for free, and you are encouraged to register in advance.
They have over 100 people who have already signed up. Once you register you can log on anytime during the day on Tuesday or Wednesday for the discussion. Look for a link to register on our On-Air Links Section.
