A Fatal Car Crash Follows a Late Night Burglary in Pasco.
PASCO, Wash. - A Kennewick man is dead after crashing into a traffic light pole and into a brick wall after a late night burglary.
Pasco Police officers say two black men were seen burglarizing S&D Car Audio at 610 West Lewis Street in Pasco. When police arrived just after midnight, both men fled the scene in different directions.
One man got into a late model Lincoln Continental and sped Eastbound down Lewis Street. As he approached the intersection of North Oregon Ave the car swerved and broadsided a traffic signal pole and then hit a brick wall of a building on the corner. That man died at the scene. He wasn't wearing any form of identification and the Franklin County Coroner and detectives are attempting to identify him.
The other man however is 18-year-old Kenyatta Bridges of Kennewick who fled on foot after the burglary. He hid under the loading dock of a building on the 200 Block of South 6th Street. Bridges suffered multiple dog bite wounds from a K-9 unit after dragging him out from underneath the loading dock. Bridges was taken to the nearest hospital and is now in police custody for questioning.
