High Schools "Think Pink" To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness
PASCO, Wash.-- On Tuesday two high schools got together to raise awareness for breast cancer. Pasco Bulldogs hosted the Richland Bombers for a night of basketball, where many wore pink.
Several breast cancer survivors were honored before the girls game with roses. One of the captains says they've gotten a pretty good response.
"At first it was kind of just a little thing and we thought we were going to get just a little crowd, but it's kind of turning into a really big event and we're really excited about it," said Kelsie Ramsey, Team Captain for the Pasco High School Girls Basketball Team.
Several local businesses already contributed to the cause. The teams set up a booth outside the gym for donations. The girls and boys basketball teams also wore pink shoelaces during the game and the coaches were also thinking pink, all to raise breast cancer awareness.
