PASCO, Wash.--Volunteers with Benton Franklin Community Action Committee(BFCAC) were out across Benton and Franklin counties today, looking for homeless trends.
At the Mid-Columbia Library in Pasco, officials were taking surveys. This helps them identify where the needs are.
Some questions included where did you sleep last night and have you had access to food or meals.
"Our point is to identify them so we know how to spread the funding or how to request HUD(Housing and Urban Development) funding and to direct people in need to these services that can help them get off the streets," mentions Mary Kramer, Volunteer.
Kramer handed out hats and hygiene bags to help. The (Benton Franklin) Community Action Committee will be sending all the information to county and state agencies to get funding.
