Many Tri-City Business Run Out of Tools Used To Fight The Snow
KENNEWICK, Wash. - If you have waited until the last minute to get a snow shovel or ice melt you might run into some problems.
Most places in the Tri-Cities ran out of supplies by Monday night.
Home Depot is out of shovels, ice melt, and other snow related items.
Ranch and Home ran out of ice melt and sleds, but they still had plenty of shovels, de-icer, scrappers and plows.
Ranch and Home Co-owner Bill Dress said they are waiting for a big shipment Tuesday afternoon of ice melt, tube sand and sleds.
Shawn Marshall from Pasco picked up the last of the ice melt for his business Monday night. He said, "Nobody expects the big weather but when it comes, then boom, they are here and everyone is trying to get caught up."
Dress said customers were not panicking, but he said, "They've just been all over town looking for things. Then they come here and they are thankful we have it."
