Police Leave Patrol Vehicles Running & Unattended

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash.--Pasco police confirm their officers leave patrol cars running and unattended.

Although, the reason is critical to officers being able to perform their job effectively. Many computer systems and tools inside their patrol cars such as Radar, laptop computer, police radio, and sirens and lights, are powered by the vehicles engine.

Shutting them off would virtually render all communication tools useless. When lives are on the line, knowing as much information possible about a call is incredibly important.
