KENNEWICK, Wash. - Right now the United Way of Benton and Franklin counties is raising money to give to non-profit organizations. And they want groups interested in receiving funding to send in an application.
Last year community leaders identified what areas they felt were most important. So if your organization helps improve safety, health, education or self-sufficiency in our community, the United Way wants to here from you.
"This is a matter of fairness, and we want those applications that are the very best to be the ones to receive funding," said Beverly Weber, President of United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties.
Applications are due February 27th.
If you're interesting in applying contact the United Way.
You can find out more about the criteria at an information meeting Monday, February 4th from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. It's at the United Way building in Kennewick at 402 North Young Street.
