KENNEWICK, Wash - Chet Pickard stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced and the Tri-City Americans (38-12-1-2, 79pts) defeated the visiting Prince Albert Raiders (18-32-3-2, 41 pts) 5-1 in front of a sold-out, pink crowd of 5,763 at Toyota Center in Kennewick.

With the win, the Americans improve to an impressive 23-4-0-1 at home this season and pull to within two points of first-place Spokane in the U.S. Division race. Brett Plouffe, Colton Yellow Horn, T.J. Fast, Joel Ridgeway and Shaun Vey all tallied goals for Tri-City, who defeated Prince Albert for the third straight season.

Also, with the win, Pickard has tied Brian Boucher for the Americans' single-season wins record (33). Pickard is also one win shy of tying Boucher for third place on the Americans all-time wins list.

Along with their success on the ice, the Americans and their generous fans donated $15,525 to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center's Breast Cancer education and outreach programs. The final donation set a new high; topping last season's mark of $11,800.
