SEATTLE, Wash - Although she got a standing ovation, former Washington coach June Daugherty got a rude homecoming in Seattle today, when the Huskies trounced her Washington State Cougars 84-40 in a Pac-10 women's basketball game.

The Huskies posted their 26th straight victory over the Cougars, who lost their 27th Pac-10 game in a row. It was the largest margin of victory in the series.

Freshman Katelan Redmond led Washington with 20 points, while Katie Appleton had 14 points for the Cougars.

The 51-year-old Daugherty coached at Washington for 11 seasons before being fired last March. She was hired to coach the Cougars in April.

Washington improved its Pac-10 record to 4-6 and the Cougars fell to 0-10 in league play.       Washington beat the Cougars 61-46 last month in Pullman.
