WEST RICHLAND, Wash. -- Police are on the lookout for a suspect who threw a rock through a window at a West Richland elementary school.
At this point, they don't know if the suspect was actually trying to break into Tapteal Elementary or was just trying to vandalize it.
They received the call at about 11 Sunday morning. When they arrived, the suspect was gone, leaving behind no finger prints on the door. The door was slightly open though and they did find several footprints in the snow.
West Richland Officer Terry Boehmler says, "They found a couple open doors, pretty standard at a school, but they didn't see anything taken at least at first look."
Boehmler says until school officials return on Monday they will not be sure if anything was taken.
