PASCO, Wash.--Those homeless in Benton and Franklin County have options. Although, if you don't meet a certain criteria or you can't wait a couple of days, you're stuck.
This problem has become a priority for one local organization.
If you know someone who is homeless, please contact the Benton Franklin Community Action Committee at (509) 545-4042.
It's possible you will have to make an appointment to have any long term concerns addressed, but the resources are available and well worth it.
Another useful tool is the Home Base Connections Resource Guidebook for low-income and homeless people. This booklet features a number of housing, food, medical care and counseling services offered in Benton and Franklin Counties.
The guidebooks can be found at local police stations, public libraries and churches.
