Developers Prepare Master Plan For Lewis & Clark Ranch in West Richland
WEST RICHLAND, Wash.-- The master plan for the new vision of the Lewis and Clark Ranch has been set. The 8,000 acres are divided in two phases.
Developers from MacKay and Sposito gave a presentation on what to expect from this development. They say the equestrian facility will include a working ranch with cattle, horses, and vineyards.
While the second phase will have commercial areas. They also say this project will most likely attract a higher end type of crowd.
"It brings people to the region that have an awful lot of money so they need places to shop, and they need other types of facilities," said Al Schauer, President of MacKay and Sposito.
This planned community begins like many others, from scratch. Planners have a blank slate and will decide where to put everything from roads and houses to some of the recreation areas. They say the public is welcomed to give their suggestions.
