Franklin PUD Manager Retires

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, WAsh.-- Franklin PUD employees say they're sad to know one of their own will be leaving soon. Jean Ryckman has announced she will retire from her current position as manager.

Ryckman has been working with the PUD for almost 28 years. Her journey there started back in the 1980's, in the engineering department.

She says she's seen much change over the years.

"When I was an engineer and I would design a job, I would have to also write up the material list for the job so I had to count every little washer and bolt that went into building that job by hand," she said.

Ryckman says the thing she will miss the most are her co-workers. She's been an active member of the community and has received many awards including the CBC Alumna of the Year in 2002

She has also served as President of the Pasco School Board. Ryckman's last day is set for April 30th.
