KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick Police are looking for more witnesses in a recent accident.

A 78-year-old woman got off a bus and was crossing the street when she was hit by a car.

Kadlec Medical Center officials said the woman was listed in satisfactory condition.

Police said the woman was hit while crossing the street near the intersection of 27th and South Keller Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old driver tried to swerve but the mirror on the car hit the woman.

Kennewick Officer Remie Rees said, "People will cross sometimes where they are not suppose to or where it's easier, you have to be prepared for that.  To keep your eye out."

Police said the sun was going down and the roads were wet when the accident happened.

Authorities are looking for more witnesses and ask anyone who saw the accident to contact the police department.
