New Faculty Art Exhibit At Columbia Basin College

Posted: Updated:

PASCO, Wash. - A new art exhibit opens this week at Columbia Basin College, but you won't find any student art.

All the pieces are done by C.B.C. faculty.  It's featuring 13 members, and includes everything from paintings to sculptures.  Professor James Craig is showcasing his piece called "Cul-de-sac."

He said it's an important opportunity to show that professors like himself don't just teach out of a text book.

"That's what it's all about. You need that component, and you need that studio time to connect with your students, and what they're producing," said James Craig, CBC Art Professor.

The exhibit runs now through March 6th.  It's located at the Esvelt Gallery.  It's open Monday - Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

An open reception is scheduled for Thursday night 7 o'clock.
