WHITE PASS, Wash - The White Pass Ski Resort opened Monday after being closed for four days. Staff say during that four day period they would typically expect close to 5,000 visitors. But they didn't take as big of a financial blow as you would think. No employees were working while the lodge was closed and no electricity was used.
At the beginning of the season, a few weekends with poor ski conditions and fewer visitors are usually planned for in the budget.
