PASCO, Wash.--The nightmare on Elm street is over. For one week, all neighbors knew was a small dog found what was considered to be a possible human scalp.
Pasco police Captain Jim Raymond says the mystery is solved.
"We were obviously notified on late Friday (February 8th) evening that the sample of the alleged scalp is actually of a bovine variety so, that's a.k.a cow," says Raymond.
Pasco police milked a lot of their resources to investigate this case. 15 officers along with 100 man hours put in on the ground and in the air.
One man hopes this incident brings the community closer.
