Man Arrested In Kennewick After He Allegedly Assaulted A Woman and Tried To Flee

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Witnesses called 911 after they saw a woman covered in blood and trying to escape from a man's car in Kennewick near Highway 395 and Yelm Street.     

25-year-old Tyler Ricks was in Benton County Jail Monday night.     

Ricks was accused of assaulting the woman then trying to flee from police Monday afternoon.     

Kennewick Police were called when four people dialed 911 when they apparently saw Ricks and the bloody woman pulling into an apartment complex near Conway and Bruno in Kennewick.     

The original witness actually followed them to the complex.     

Shannon Holden lives in the same complex and she said she saw, "She looked like she was in extreme amount of pain .... there was blood all over her face."

The woman was taken to the hospital.     

Ricks was arrested for a felony warrant violation and burglary.

Police said he was not suppose to be contact with the victim.
