Save A Heart For Valentine's Day

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Valentine's Day is Thursday and if you still haven't decided what to get for your Valentine, here's a different way you can show your love.

The Red Cross is asking everyone to give a gift from the heart and for the heart. You can save your loved one's life this Valentine's by getting CPR training.

They're encouraging everyone to get certified as a gift.

"If you care about other people what better way but to get the skills to be able to save a life, save somebody who's having a heart attack," said Jeanne Jelke, with the Benton Franklin Red Cross chapter.

The Red Cross offers CPR classes for any first timers, but they also have refresher classes for anyone wanting to renew their card. If you're interested you can contact the Benton Franklin chapter at 509-783-6195.
