Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Thursday, couples across the country will express their love in one way or another.  Flowers and cards are traditional gifts for valentines day, but more and more Americans are turning to their computers to send an E-card for Valentine's Day.

The FBI is warning the public that some E-cards could have viruses attached that could infect your computer and put all your personal information at risk.

Experts say the holidays are the prime time for viruses filled E-cards and warn people not to open E-cards when you do not know who they are from.

The FBI specifically warning people to watch out for the Storm Worm malicious software (malware).  This type of virus is reportedly attached to e-cards and when a person clicks on the link the virus is spread into the victims computer.  Millions of these types of e-cards are sent every year during the holidays.

To report an E-Card Virus file a complaint at www.ic3.gov.
