Animal Rescue find malnourished dogs at Airport Hotel

Posted: Updated:

More bad news surrounding Pasco's Airport Motel. Animal control got a call about a man beating a dog there, and they ended up finding much more than that.

On Monday the motel had their license of operation suspended and had to ask people to leave.

What animal control found was two adult dogs and five puppies all starving and on the verge of dying. The owner of the dogs was not at the motel at the time and when the manager of the motel let animal rescue in they were shocked by the living conditions the dogs were in.

There was fecal matter all over the floors, no food or water for the dogs and the female dog and puppies were so malnourished and abused they had to be placed in immediate care.

Angela Zilar, Pasco animal shelter says, they are trying to save them. They are doing everything they can at this point to save them and they are all in pretty bad shape.

Four of the puppies and the male dog are at the Pasco Animal Shelter being looked after. The mother dog and the other puppy are at the Mid-Columbia Pet Emergency facility under 24 hour watch.

On a scale from zero to ten, ten being the healthiest the puppies and the mom are rated at a zero.

Pasco police say that animal cruelty charges are pending against the owner of the dogs.
