Dogs rescued from Airport Motel are getting healthier

Posted: Updated:

New developments in the story of a family of dogs found starving in a local motel.

The seven dogs rescued from the Airport Motel in Pasco are all recovering and are at the Pasco Animal Shelter.

When the two adult dogs and five puppies were first found, the shelter's main concern was their health, and making sure the animals made it through the first night.

But now the attention has turned to getting the dogs adopted.

Angela Zilar of the Pasco Animal Shelter says these dogs are going to need and deserve a good home that will understand their needs and they continue to rehabilitate.

All seven dogs will be ready for adoption on Thursday. They are a Shepard mix, the puppies are four months old, there are four females and one male. The mother is about two years old and the father about three years old.
