PASCO, Wash. - KNDU talked to several people Tuesday who witnessed a meteor flash across the sky.

Most of them say they saw it on their way to work around 5:30 a.m.  Some people were already on the job.  All of them describe a bright bluish flash.

"It looked like it lit up the sky, and I looked up and I saw it come straight down and it looked like it landed in the neighborhood about a mile away," said Lawrence Schonborg & Ron Barwick, cooks at King City Restaurant.

"The entire parking lot lit up, it was a huge flash like a transformer blew," said Lori Moore, Wait Staff Manager at King City Restaurant.

"Like a big green bluish green ball with a bluish green tail, real long tail," said Dave Freiss, trucker for Verizon.

"It lit up the sky so bright that it light up the inside of my pickup just like I turned on a light," said Dale Powell, mechanic.

"Then I heard a boom that I thought sounded like somebody hit a building and then all the sudden the house shook, and then it stopped and it shook again," said Zoe Duchek, lives near Burbank.

Some other people we talked to witnessed the meteor, but they didn't know what it was.
