16-Year-Old Pasco Girl Shot In The Back During A Drive-By-Shooting Tuesday Afternoon

PASCO, Wash. - A 16-year-old was sent to Lourdes Medical Center after she was shot in the back Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 3:00pm on the 400 block of North Owen Avenue in Pasco. 

Nearby Whittier and Robinson Elementary Schools went into lock down until 3:45pm after police called and reported there had been a shooting.  On the districts website it stated that the  actions were precautionary to ensure student safety.

Pasco Police said 13 shots were fired at the home.  The teenage girl was apparently inside during the time of the shooting.  Police say her injuries are not life threatening. 

Authorities said this could be gang related.

Police combed the neighborhood and spoke to residents.  It has been reported that suspects were seen fleeing the scene along with a Ford truck described to be either purple or fuchsia in color.
