PASCO, Wash. -- No new vote counts in Benton or Franklin County today. Wednesday is a sorting day for both auditor's offices. In Benton County, more ballots will be tallied tomorrow and in Franklin County more will be counted on Friday.
Franklin County Auditor Zona Lenhart says with all the changes in primary voting, this particular vote was especially difficult.
Lenhart says, "Everything is very detail-oriented and especially for this election, where the oath is on the envelope and not the ballot, it's been difficult to keep things lined up just right."
Lenhart says a lot of people didn't check a box to say whether they were voting as a Democrat or Republican and then they chose a candidate. In order to vote in the presidential primary, you had to first choose your party.
