Milton-Freewater, OR.-- Problems with the boiler continue to cancel classes. McLoughlin Union High School will be closed again on Thursday, February 21st.
School officials say the heating problems started last week and they weren't able to get a technician. They canceled class on Monday and were on a 2 hour delay Wednesday morning.
They say they installed the boiler about four years ago, but when it broke they started using portable heaters. They're taking the necessary measures to fix the situation.
"We've been having a little bit of trouble with it, maintaining heat and operating like it was supposed to, we had called in other technicians and they felt it was best to shut it down and repair it immediately," said Roger Weiler, Business and Facilities Manager at McLoughlin Union High School.
School officials also say they're unsure whether classes will be canceled for the rest of the week. School officials are not sure, how students will make up the missed school days.
