KENNEWICK, Wash. - Washington State Troopers tore a car apart looking for drugs on Tuesday afternoon.
The car was seized February 15th. Two men were arrested after police stopped the car and found marijuana, thousands of dollars in cash and notes of what appeared to be information about drug dealing.
Troopers got a search warrant, got a drug-sniffing dog and brought a special drug agent from Ellensburg to search the car and look for any drugs that might be hidden in the car.
They did not find anything during the search. Troopers said that they know there are a lot of drugs being transported on highways in the Tri-Cities.
Troopers said in recent years the technology for searching cars has made it easier to find hidden drugs.
Troopers said dealers in Canada and Vancouver are trading marijuana for cocaine from dealers in the south.
