Part of Reach Closed Temporarily

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash.- 30,000 acres of the Hanford Reach National Monument will be closed for about a month.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife is starting to spray herbicide on areas burned in last summer's fires to stop the growth of cheet grass.

The closed area runs from Ringold River Road, north of the river to Highway 24 in Adams County.
