YAKIMA, Wash - A Yakima neighborhood gets a scare Wednesday night after police are involved in a stand off.
Police were alerted to a house on the corner of 11th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard. The home was completely surrounded and officers had their guns drawn. They didn't stay for long though. Police say a man with a Department of Corrections warrant ran into the house and wouldn't come out.
Officers say it wasn't worth the risk to them to try and get the person out for the corrections warrant. Police were there for less than an hour before leaving.
